Wilotree Park (Sheets airfield) is located one mile south of Groveland in Florida, United States. Groveland itself is situated in Lake County, in the center of the state. The surrounding area is dominated by pasture lands intermixed with treed swamps and some residential areas.

How to get here
Fly into Orlando. Head west on Florida's Turnpike (a toll road). Get off at Exit 272, Hwy 50 (Clermont). Continue west to Groveland and Highway 33.

$325 per team leader (includes $100 Wilotree Park Fee). Team leaders who are also pilots in the competition will not have to pay an additional team leader fee.

Aerotowing before the meet is an additional $35/tow.
Aerotow fees are set at $450 per pilot. (If paid by PayPal there is an additional $22 fee.)
Selection is determined by CIVL rules.
Eligibility:
USHPA membership required. A 30-day memberships will be available at minimal cost.
Aerotow rating or evidence of extensive aerotowing experience.
Must not have finished in the top 2/3rd's of a non-Sport Class Category 1 competition held since January 2015. Are required to have at least 1 WPRS point in the last 36 months (earliest date in January 1, 2017). Must have flown in a competition with at least 15 pilots (including all classes).

“Waiting List:” pilot waiting for organizers to make an initial check
“In Progress:” pilot registered on Airtribune
“Verified:” pilot registered on Airtribune and entry fee paid
“Qualified:” pilot registered on Airtribune and pilot meets the requirements for eligibility to compete.
"Confirmed:" pilot registered on Airtribune, pilot meets the requirements for eligibility to compete, pilot approved by their national sport pilot association to compete in this competition, and entry fee paid.
“Team pilot:” pilot registered on Airtribune, entry fee paid, pilot meets the requirements for eligibility to compete, and has been selected by their NAC to be on the National Team
"Waiting List:" Late in the process if there are not enough slots available and waiting for pilots to drop out.
Prize fund and scoring categories
Daily prizes are given out from the sponsors.
General schedule
Unofficial Training Days: Wilotree Park provides year round instruction and opportunities to fly cross country and learn the region. Aerotowing is the primary mechanism for propelling hang gliders aloft.
Championship attendees that are not aerotow certified and are unable to do so in their respective nations, will be advised to arrive no less than one week early to receive aerotow training.
Registration (check-in): 9AM – noon and 1 PM – 4 PM, Sunday April 18th.Wilotree Park Club House
First Team Leader meeting: Sunday, April 18th, 5 PM. Wilotree Park Club House
Opening Ceremony: 7 PM, Sunday, April 18th, Groveland - Lake David Park.
Mandatory Safety Briefing: Monday, April 19th, 9 AM. Wilotree Park Club House
The mandatory for the organizers briefing will take place prior to the execution of the mandatory training task and provide some orientation to the area. Pilots will have been required to sign-off that they have read the pilot safety briefing book or on-line, upon check-in.
Official mandatory training task: Monday, April 19th. This task will be mandatory for the organizers to test and confirm that the organization, logistics, schedule, and personnel are in place. It will also provide pilots and teams that are new to a formal Category 1 event the opportunity to ensure their logistics and personnel are in place. We will do a complete run through of a typical contest flying day with pilot briefing, weather forecast, task assignment, towing, flying a task, tracking and score keeping.
Championship Flying Days: Tuesday, April 20th through Tuesday, April 26th.
Closing ceremony and prize giving: 10 AM, April 27th, Wilotree Park Club House
Daily schedule

11 AM: Pilot briefing /Task briefing
12:30 PM: Take-off window opens:
All day: Scoring office opens
10 PM: Provisional results

How to get here
Wilotree Park/Sheets airfield is about one and a half mile south of Groveland, Florida, on State Highway 33. It is a left turn at a busy bend in the road (be careful). Headquarters is the club house, first building on the right.

Plane
The nearest international airport is Orlando. From there you take a car to Quest Air hang gliding club.
Car
It take about 1 hour driving from Orlando. Take highways 528, Florida's turnpike and FL-50 to get to Sheets airfield. This route is about 42 miles.
