Takeoff Gochang Bangjang mountain is a peak about 610 m ASL, located in south-west area of Korea. Its facing West-sea and there are mountains to east side, the floor of the flat is 60 - 80 meters ASL. Flying season lasts all year round.
The elevation keeps 1200~1800 m, average temperature between 12 to 22 °C.
Gochang Bangjang mountain is a famous for paragliding place and MTB in Korea offering good conditions even for beginner-pilots. The usual flights are made crossing valley and along the ridge of Naejang (National park-700 m ASL) mountain. Can make route to north, east, south directions.
Thermal strength in up to 4 m/s. Usual best hours to start is about 12:00. Thermals begin at about 11 a.m. and last until 4 p.m. The conditions are good for flying - no strong winds in this region.
The longest flights made from there exceed 100 km. And the pilots managed to climb as high as 2500 meters ASL.
This place has already host a number of paragliding events: Korea Open League 2010,2011,2012,2013, Korea Open Championship 2014.

The launch ground is located in 3 km from the nearest town and can be reached by taxi or bus. It takes 25 minutes to get there.
The slope descend is about 15 degrees, it is concrete road. The take off ground allows 2 simultaneous launches. Top landing is difficult, but possible.
