We welcome you to Karapinar for the 2022 Göktepe XC Open. This competition will take place between 30 September - 02 October 2022 at the Goktepe Hill in Karapinar - Konya region in Turkiye. The objective of this event is to bring competition experience to pilots who are not so familiar with the Race to Goal format.

We welcome you to Karapinar for the 2022 Göktepe XC Open. This competition will take place between 30 September - 02 October 2022 at the Goktepe Hill in Karapinar - Konya region in Turkiye. The objective of this event is to bring competition experience to pilots who are not so familiar with the Race to Goal format. There will be also experienced pilots, and for sure they will be inspiration for the beginners. We would like to share with you the excitement of the opening of a new flight center where everyone can fly.

Göktepe 1370 metre irtifası ile Birçok oryantasyon ile çok güzel bir nokta. 2021'de araba ile çıkmak için yeni yol ve takeoff yapıldı. Kuzey, Batı, Güney, yönlerine kalkış imkanı veren Göktepe çapraz ve yükselen birçok yöne uçuş ve uzun mesafe kros imkanı veriyor. 5 kilometrelik bandı ile yükselen irtifası 2000 metreye ulaşıyor. Tepe üstlerinde iniş ve kalkış için gerçekten büyük birkaç yer var ve top landing için de çok uygun. Araba ile çıkış ve iniş daha hızlı (10/15 dakika) kalkış yerine tepeye de inebilirsiniz. Hem usta hem de yeni başlayan pilotlar için çok iyi bir yer.
Ayrıca deneyimli pilotlar için rekorların kırılabileceği krater platosunda mükemmel bir nokta….

New playground for big kids.
Göktepe with an altitude of 1370 meters It is a very beautiful spot with many orientations. New way and takeoff to go out by car in 2021. Göktepe Cross and Rising, which gives the opportunity to take off in the North, West, South, Directions, provides the opportunity to fly and cross in many directions. With its 5 kilometer band, its altitude reaches 2000 meters. On the tops of the hills there are a few really great places for take off and landing. It is also very suitable for top landing. Ascent and descent by car is faster (10/15 minutes), you can also go down the hill instead of taking off. A very good place for both master and beginner pilots.
It is also a perfect spot on the crater plateau where records can be broken for experienced pilots….

Selection and entry fee

Limit 120 participants.
Selection criteria: FAI Licences and completion of both S.I.V. and Thermal trainings. All Turkish pilots also required to have 2022 THSF ID's

Documents required at registration

  • The FAI IPPI card is an International card that states your skill level. It is issued by your National Association and matches the level or your flying Licence

  • You will need to sign an applicaton form at the venue. Usually the organiser will provide it on arrival.

başı sefer vardır otagara ulaştığınızda organizasyon tarafından alınıp uçuş bölgelerine (HQ) ulaşımınız sağlanacaktır.

The distance between Konya and Karapınar is 100 km. there are departures every hour When you reach Karapınar Bus Station by bus, you will be picked up by the organization and taken to the flight zones (HQ) and your transportation will be provided.
