The Greda Cup competition will be held on August 7-9, 2015. This event is open to all pilots but is organized by Hungarian and Croatian paragliding clubs, so we expected the majority of the participants presenting these two countries.

Flying site

Greda is located in the Cetina River valley not far from Peruća lake-reservoir. The mountains there belong to the Dinaric Alps. This mountain chain of Croatia encompass the entire Gorski Kotar and Lika regions, as well as considerable parts of Dalmatia.

Event info

The Greda Cup competition will be held on August 7-9, 2015. This event is open to all pilots but is organized by Hungarian and Croatian paragliding clubs, so we expected the majority of the participants presenting these two countries. Its purpose is to provide fair and safe flying conditions for all pilots, for new competitors and experienced ones, test the organization, location, and reinforce the friendship between the pilots and nations.

Flying site

Greda is located in the Cetina River valley not far from Peruća lake-reservoir. The mountains there belong to the Dinaric Alps. This mountain chain of Croatia encompass the entire Gorski Kotar and Lika regions, as well as considerable parts of Dalmatia. The Dinaric Alps contain the highest mountain in Croatia—1,831 m (6,007 ft) Dinara—as well as all other mountains in Croatia higher than 1,500 metres (4,900 feet): Biokovo, Velebit, Plješivica, Velika Kapela, Risnjak, Svilaja and Snježnik.
The flights are made to the valley as well as along the ridge that stretches from NW to SE parallel to the Adriatic shore.

Preferable wind direction for takeoff SE, S, SW.
Takeoff is easily accessible by car, it is right by the asphalt road. See description on Paragliding earth.

or anywhere in nearby fields.
Landing is not completely flat, it is tilted to the south so be careful.

Greda is located about 40 km away from Split. Take D1 road and near village Hrvace turn north for village Bitelic, and follow signs 'Paragliding - Greda'.
If you are coming from Zagreb take A1 highway. It is about 420 far.
