Desde hace años se celebra en Piedrahíta en verano uno de los mayores eventos del calendario nacional de ala delta. Allí nos juntamos varias ligas y pilotos por libre, llegando a reunir hasta 60 pilotos, casi como un Campeonato de España. Para dar entidad a esa reunión hemos organizado el Open Internacional de Ala Delta de Piedrahíta, FAI 2. La inscripción es de tan solo 30€. Detalles en la sección Selection and entry fee más abajo. Para participar en el Open los pilotos tendrán que registrarse en Airtribune.

Since many years one of the main events of the Spanish hang gliding calendar takes place in Piedrahita, in Summer. Around 60 pilots from several leagues get together, including visiting pilots (at the level of the Spanish Nationals). To consolidate this gathering we are organising this year the FAI 2 International Hang Gliding Open in Piedrahita. There is 30€ entry fee for all pilots. Details in section Selection and entry fee below. Participant pilots must be registered in Airtribune.

The entry fee for this Open FAI 2 is 30€ for all pilots.
Documents required at registration

National Licence
The organiser requires you to present your National flying licence.

Signed Application form
You will need to sign an applicaton form at the venue. Usually the organiser will provide it on arrival.

Identification documents needed
You will need to provide photo ID on arrival. This could be Passport, Driving Licence or National ID, for example.

Liability Insurance
You must provide the organiser with a copy of your liability (3rd party) insurance documents

Rescue/Medical Insurance
You must provide the organiser with a copy of your medical, rescue and repatriation insurance. You can purchase Global Rescue cover from Airtribune
Prize fund and scoring categories
Se harán clasificaciones por separado de los pilotos participantes en clase 1 y de los pilotos participantes en clase 5. Las pruebas para los pilotos de clase 5 podrían ser las mismas o diferentes de las de clase 1.
Habrá una clasificación adicional para pilotos de la clase Sport (clase 1 con mástil) para fomentar la participación de pilotos noveles. ,
The classifications will be made according to the provisions of the Selection Regulation ADL_RFAE. The National and Open classifications will be published separately on a daily basis only if the number and quality of registered foreign pilots so advise. The definitive classification for the National Championship will only include the pilots of Spanish nationality. This championship is also open to the participation of Class 5 (rigid) and Class 1 wings (flexible) and Sport Class wings.
Separate classifications will be made of the pilots participating in Class 1 and the pilots participating in Class 5.
There will be an additional classification for pilots of the Sport Class (class 1 with mast) to encourage the participation of novice pilots.

8:00 - 10:00 - Registro oficial de pilotos. Official registration.
12:00 - 13:00 - Briefing general en el despegue. Asistencia obligada. Mandatory Pilot General Briefing.
De jueves 22 a domingo 25 (from Thursday 22 to Sunday 25):
Días de competición. Contest flying days.
Daily schedule
Encuentro de pilotos en el cuartel general y organización de subida. Headquarter meeting.
