Live tracking is based on participant responsibility principle. It means that each participant should have his own live tracking device for the competition and take care of it by himself including SIM card, device charging and Start/Stop tracking.
At this moment Airtribune provides the following options for participant’s choice:
- Flymaster '360' tracker
- Flymaster F1 tracker
- Flymaster Live series of instruments
- Airtribune iOS App
- Airtribune Android App
- Teltonika GH3000
- Redview GT60
- Meitrack GT30i
- Meitrack MT90
The Flymaster trackers and instruments offer the most reliable devices for event tracking and scoring, with 1 second tracking and logging for when there is no GSM coverage. Airtribune app and Flymaster Live also provide reliable 1-sec live tracking with data buffering for discontinuous GSM coverage.
(To use the App participant needs to be registered and have “Confirmed” status. In this case participant is able to see the event through the application and check-in. To use Flymaster Live participants must enter his device IMEI and Serial numbers on event’s registration page.)
Other GSM trackers provide live tracking with frequency between 2 & 5 second tracking. Most of the models do not have data buffer for discontinuous coverage.
Your event’ races live tracking will be available for viewers in a 2D player. 2D player is based on Google Maps and doesn’t require any software installations.
Satellite live tracking
The feature has been specially made to increase passive safety level at the competitions. Many pilots have personal satellite trackers, but until this time the organizers did not have technical means allowing satellite trackers data usage both for race visualization and retrieve/safety reasons.
Once this feature activated a special field for satellite tracker share link appears in pilots’ registration form. This link can be checked and easily edited by organizer at any time on the trackers manage page in event’s admin interface.
SPOT or Delorme InReach data is equally used for live tracking with GSM tracker or iOS/Android app forming a single track for each participant. Thus organizing team and viewers can follow participants even in poor coverage zones.
Airtribune Retrieve is a complex solution aimed to increase retrieve process efficiency and to make fast and smart retrieve possible even of 150 participants managed by only one operator.
- Situational awareness retrieve map with all pilots positions;
- Participants retrieve statuses for quick count;
- Coordinates mapping and converting tool for easy and instant locating;
- Embedded report back chat (through pilot’s Airtribune iOS/Android App);
- Retrieve data table as a lighter version.
GSM live trackers set connection
For organizers preferring to provide hand in live tracking service on their competitions we will be glad to connect any set of GSM trackers. It maybe your own set of trackers or rented ones, it doesn't matter.
After the set is connected, organizer may assign trackers to the pilots at any time using convenient administrative panel. The process is easy and the interface is intuitive.
To connect a set there is an administration charge of 2 Euro per tracker. Once a set is connected they will be stored in Airtribune indefinitely thereafter, ready for repeated use, and the 2 Eur will not be recharged.
To use a connected set there is a fee per tracker per event. The fee will depend on the tracker type and data source. Please contact us for further information.
If you would like to explore this option then we recommend the FlyEvent service, who have several sets of Flymaster trackers available to rent. They include SIM card, data for most locations worldwide and Airtribune access.
You can make a full test of any features on an unpublished event. Test drive is free!
