The decision to unite Ukrainian National Championship and Russian Open Cup and organize it in Krushevo, Macedonia was taken last year right after brilliant Ukrainian and Polish Open 2012 was accomplished.
Perfect organization, great atmosphere and excellent weather combined with unique flying conditions of Krushevo and its matchless hospitality have let us no choice..
Organizers of that paragliding event - Volodimir Perevalov and his club “Nearbirds” members were able to attract 150 pilots out of 150 allowed and there were still not enough places for all comers.
Being organizers of 4 Ukrainian Nationals since 2009 year and co-organizers of 2012 Paragliding World Cup event in Krushevo, Volodimir and his team knows perfectly all the features in organizing paragliding contest in that place, letting him do it in harmony with the local inhabitants from year to year increasing organization level.
This event will be test event for Airtribune live tracking system and live competition broadband. For this event Airtribune team will use its own set of trackers to cover races visualisation, retrieve and safety. Besides, we hope to implement first version of SMS service for pilots reports and retrieve.
2013 Ukrainian Open and Russian Open Cup is open competition. All pilots with enough qualification are welcome to join!
