Since now Airtribune supports Delorme InReach as well as SPOT for competition live tracking – the two most popular satellite trackers for active outdoor sportsmen. Each device has its advantages: SPOT provides up to 2.5 min tracking frequency, while Delorme InReach is famous for its 100% coverage of the Earth surface and sends coordinates with altitude.

During the task data obtained by satellite will be equally used for live tracking with GSM tracker or Android app forming a single track for each participant. This option will help to cover events held in discontinuous and no GSM zones. As soon as satellite tracker sends data the pilot will be automatically relocated to a new position. And when GSM signal restores the full track of the pilot will replace “straight” satellite track revealing the flight route in detail with all taken cylinders.

Setup is easy: satellite tracker share link can be added by pilot during the registration or any time after, it can also be added by organizer. This feature is very efficient for passive safety and retrieve to locate the pilot landed in zero coverage zones.
