Honorin Hamard will try to beat the World record in paragliding tandem flights with his girlfriend Karine Gras. Being a World champion and a World record 2013 holder Honorin is eager to share his passion for flight and fame with his beloved one. They have been training for a long time to get ready for the action. And off they went. The attempt will be made in between October 31 and November 14, 2015 in Quixada in the state of Ceará, in the North East of Brazil.
The couple intends to beat one of the following (or all three) nominations:
World record distance tandem straight: 356.2 km (and 363 attempt pending).
World record distance tandem via 1 turnpoint: 308.3 km
World record distance tandem with 3 turnpoints: 258.43 km

Quixadá is a major paragliding spot in Brazil. It is famous for many flight distance world record breaks in the last years, and attracts pilots from around the world every November when potential record-breaking conditions set up. These conditions are severe suitable for experienced pilots only. Temperatures can raise up to 40 C, and winds regularly blow at over 50km/h. Take off is difficult and should be made with assistance within 10-20 sec launchable intervals in between strong wind gusts. But once you are in the air the wind will bring you very far, so 200-300 km flights are a normal case there. The usual route are Quixada – Quixeramobim – Taua – Picos or Quixada – Nova Russa – Pedro II. Still many pilots are heading towards Amazon rainforest in order to make distance over 513 km and set another world record.
