Welcome to Valle del Cauca - PIEDECHINCHE, Colombia, one of the most famous locations for cross-country flying in South America and the world. This is the 1st DEDALO'S CUP - PIEDECHINCHE 2026. If you want to enjoy racing with medium-aspect wings, you've come to the right place!
This CUP is for pilots looking to make their competitive debut and have fun in the air, as well as taking the next step in this type of event.
Flying site
Pie de Chinche is located in El Cerrito mountains in Cordillera Occidental between Cali and Tulua. While flying you can enjoy the beautiful views of the Valle de Cauca fields surrounding river Cauca and it's numerous tributaries.

This is the first event for the DEDELAOS FLY HOUSE Hotel and Restaurant, located right in front of the Official Piedechinche Paragliding Landing Site in Valle del Cauca. This event is designed by the Dedalo's crew and sports club, and their entire family of local pilots from this beautiful free flight region.
For this event, we will be visiting the famous PIEDECHINCHE venue in Colombia. This venue has similar conditions to ROLDANILLO, as we are located in the same valley as the Cauca River, right across from the other mountain range 100 km south of the valley, with very good conditions year-round. One difference with ROLDA is that PIEDECHINCHE is on the positive side of the valley, and we can have lunch and fly from 8 am to 6 pm. This CUP has become a dream in this place and tourist destination for many paragliders due to the easy transportation, access just 30 MIN to the ALFONSO BONILLA ARAGON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, with flights to all local and international destinations... The Capital City CALI of the Department of Valle del Cauca, known worldwide as the WORLD CAPITAL OF SALSA DANCING, all this with many good access roads, taxis, buses and all types of traditional transportation offers perfect weather conditions, and the various tourist activities that this beautiful region offers.

Selection and entry fee
Las tarifas y fechas se cumplirán estrictamente. Los pagos se realizan utilizando su propia cuenta de PayPal. PayPal utiliza el cifrado de datos para proteger los datos de su tarjeta. La tarifa de inscripción de piloto NO incluye la tarifa cobrada por PayPal por administrar su pago en línea. NO aceptamos cheques ni American Express. Si desea pagar la cuota de inscripción de más de una persona en línea, debe hacerlo conectado como cada piloto.
Documentos
- Licencia Nacional de Piloto.
- Formulario de solicitud firmado.
- Liberación de responsabilidad firmada, Renuncia de derechos legales.
- Cédula, Pasaporte o licencia de conducir.
- Seguro.
- Soporte de pago de la cuota de inscripción.
- Formulario de registro completo listo antes del día 1.
- Aceptar la normativa local vigente.
Seguro que cubra el riesgo de responsabilidad civil por un importe mínimo de 100.000 € (cien mil euros) debe presentarse a los organizadores en el momento de la inscripción.
Seguro de accidentes personales válido para competiciones de parapente. Esto debe incluir la repatriación al país de origen, y tratamiento médico de mínimo 10.000 € (diez mil).
Seguro médico. Debe ser válido para volar en parapente en Colombia. Debe mostrar una copia del contrato para demostrarlo. Si el piloto no tiene este seguro, debe comprarlo localmente, la organización del evento le ofrecerá una opción.

FAI Sporting Licence
Issued by your local NAC on behalf of the FAI. You cannot normally compete in an FAI event without one. Contact your National Association (NAC)

FAI IPPI Card
The FAI IPPI card is an International card that states your skill level. It is issued by your National Association and matches the level or your flying Licence

National Licence
The organiser requires you to present your National flying licence.

Signed Application form
You will need to sign an applicaton form at the venue. Usually the organiser will provide it on arrival.

Signed Waiver/Release form
You will need to sign a waiver or release document to show you understand the risks. Usually the organiser will provide it on arrival.

Experience summary required
The organiser wishes for you to provide a summary of your experience on arrival.

Identification documents needed
You will need to provide photo ID on arrival. This could be Passport, Driving Licence or National ID, for example.

Liability Insurance
You must provide the organiser with a copy of your liability (3rd party) insurance documents

Rescue/Medical Insurance
You must provide the organiser with a copy of your medical, rescue and repatriation insurance. You can purchase Global Rescue cover from Airtribune
Cancellation Policy
política (basado en la tarifa de inscripción completa):
- Cancelación con más de 60 días antes del inicio de la competencia: 75% de reembolso
- Cancelación entre 60 y 30 días antes del inicio de la competencia: 40% de reembolso
- Cancelación con menos de 30 días antes del inicio de la competencia: 0% de reembolso
Cualquier piloto que demuestre (con certificado médico) su incapacidad para competir debido a una enfermedad debe comunicarse con los organizadores lo antes posible. Cualquier reembolso, si es aplicable, será decidido por la organización.
No se emitirán reembolsos a pilotos enfermos o lesionados que cancelen dentro de los 7 días
previos al inicio de la competencia, sin importar sus circunstancias personales.

How to get here
Lo primero que debe hacer es dirigirse a la terminal de Cali o al terminalito ubicado en la carrera primera con calle 70. En cualquiera de estos dos lugares deben tomar un bus intermunicipal que pase primero por Palmira y luego por El Placer – Amaime. Usualmente son los buses de las empresas Coodetrans y Expreso Trejos. Estos cobran aproximadamente 2 dólares por llevarlos desde Cali a El Placer – Amaime. Después de haber cruzado Palmira, calcule aproximadamente 10 minutos de viaje y cuando esté pasando por El Placer, puede decirle al ayudante del bus que lo deje en el crucero de Santa Elena.
Tomar Carrera en Taxi hasta el HQ Dedalos Fly House (frente a la zona de Aterrizaje)
Si usted se encuentra en el norte del Valle o alguna zona alrededor, deberá ubicar la Vía Panamericana y seguirla en sentido Norte – Sur, es decir dirigiéndose en el sentido Tulua, Buga, Guacarí, El Cerrito, El Placer. (En caso de que necesite transporte público, puede tomar un bus Coodetrans o Expreso Trejos que transite por la Vía Panamericana y pase por el corregimiento de El Placer). Después de pasar por El Cerrito deberá seguir hasta el corregimiento El Placer, ubicar el crucero a Santa Elena y desviarse a su izquierda. Este crucero se caracteriza por alojar taxis. (Si viene en bus, simplemente se baja en el crucerel HQ Dedalos FLy House por con un costo aproximado de 10 dólares.)
