The Nagy –Eged hill is 520m high. It is surrounded with other small hills (max. 500m) from north and a flatland from south. That is why the tasks flown from here are usually include flatland as well as mountain flying.

This FAI2 cross country paragliding competition is held in Eger (Eged hill), one of the most popular flying site of Hungary. The place has three launch grounds that allows pilots choose several directions depending on the wind. The comp dates are 18-21 of June, 2015.

Flying site

The Nagy –Eged hill is 520m high. It is surrounded with other small hills (max. 500m) from north and a flatland from south. That is why the tasks flown from here are usually include flatland as well as mountain flying.
Thermal conditions are moderate to medium strong thermals, in average conditions 2-5 m/s. Could base is usually about 2000 m.
The most favorable condition is NW-W wind, and usual flying routes are going towards E-S (also the best in terms of easy retrieval).

Precautions: nothing serious - no airspace restriction, no dangerous areas.

Road connection:
Very good road connections to the landings, very easy to reach as well as in respect of retrieval. From both landings there are dirt roads reaching to the top of the hill (for cars able to drive off road).

Selection and entry fee

The Championship is open to all pilots from countries that are members or associated members of FAI. Entry Forms will be filled during the registration.
Pilots
The requirements for a pilot to enter this competition are: to hold valid FAI and pilot license. to prove the airworthy of his glider. not to exceed the maximum number of participants (the limit is 60).

10.000 HUF per pilot (cc.30 euro) Entry fees will be paid by Paypal till jun 15, 2015 or during the registration. Paypal link

The entry fee includes: upload of turnpoint’s GPS coordinates, GPS tracklog download, color map. The entry fee does not include: transport to the take-off, retrieve, lunch package and anything that would make it expensive, but we help you for cost price.

Prize fund and scoring categories

AMI League is competition in cross country discipline and it is an open competition. Its results will be calculated in open category as single. Its results will be calculated in open (max EN-D or CCC), sport (max EN C) and fun category (max EN B) if there is 6 competitors per category.Woman category are also scored separately, if they have minimum 4 competitors. All categories compete for FAI points (WPRS). Please, look at the local rules as well as FAI Rule book (section 7, class O), as this competition is FAI 2 category, which automatically implies all FAI rules.
