POSTPONEMENT: The border closure between the US and Canada has been extended to June 21st. With this in mind, rather than cancelling, we have decided to postpone the competition to the fall. The new dates are August 30 to September 5, with September 6 as a reserve date.

Event info

POSTPONEMENT: The border closure between the US and Canada has been extended to June 21st. With this in mind, rather than cancelling, we have decided to postpone the competition to the fall. The new dates are August 30 to September 5, with September 6 as a reserve date. If we have fewer than 4 tasks, we will plan to hold a task on Sunday. Monday is Labor Day, so that would leave Monday for everyone to travel home.

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: As of April, there is still a closure of the border between the US and Canada. That border closure technically ends on May 23rd, but could easily be extended. So, we will wait until that date to make a decision about whether the event can go forward.

Come join the top Canadian, US and international pilots at this spectacular, consistent Canadian site. Classes 1 and sport will compete for the title of Canadian national champion. Plan to get high and go really far in beautiful British Columbia.

Accommodation and Activities

Aesthetically, camping on top is our favorite, be it with tent or RV. The most convenient camping is at Steelhead Provencial Park, just a few minutes from HQ. There are also many available options on Airbnb around Savona and Kamloops.

How to get here

Savona is located on the Trans-Canada Highway approximately 45 kilometers west of the city of Kamloops on Kamloops Lake. Pilots coming from outside British Columbia can fly into either Kelowna or Vancouver international airports.
