Flying site

Highland Aerosports is a club situated in Ridgely, Maryland USA . It is a town airport with all the necessary infrastructure. To launch there it is absolutely necessary that all pilots shall be thoroughly skilled at aerotowing and capable of aerotowing in competition conditions. There aren't any mountains on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, so we use a powered ultralight specifically designed for towing hang gliders into the air. Very similar to the system sailplanes have been using for well over 50 years, this system consists of a 250 ft. tow rope connecting the release of the hang glider to the release on the tow vehicle.

Take off
The airport is a large grassy field with asphalt runways.
Coordinates 38.970363, -75.869026.

It is connected with Ridgely by Oakland road.
