Event info
Estonian Open 2018 will be the first ever cross country competition in Estonia. Everyone who will take part automaticly help in developing XC paragliding in Estonia.
The competition will take place in the middle of Estonia not far from Paide town at Nurmsi airfield.
Flying site
Nurmsi airfield is a former military aviation reserve airfield and offers a long runway for winching. It is 100 km from Tallinn and the sea. The place is good for flatland flying with cloudbase in May up to 2000 m.

Estonian Open 2018 will be the first ever cross country competition in Estonia. Everyone who will take part automaticly help in developing XC paragliding in Estonia.
The competition will take place in the middle of Estonia not far from Paide town at Nurmsi airfield. Reserve plase is in Southern Estonia near Võru town. Launch method is towing using pay-out winches. HQ will be at Nurmsi airfield. In case of not suitable weather conditions, organizers will choose optional starting field to start from or in worst scenario cancel the competition.
Competition regulations are based on and follow Section 7B of the FAI Sporting Code and Local Regulations. Protests and disagreements are resolved by order defined in these rules, FAI Sports Code Section 7B and Local Regulations.

Selection and entry fee
No selection. First paid, first in :-) . Payment acception will begin from 15th of February.
At least 10 places reserved for non-Estonian pilots.
5 wildcards are reserved at organizers discretion.
Entry fee – 70€.
Should be payd ASAP after receiving "Waiting for payment list" status.

Towing not included. One tow = 5€ (estimated altitude - 400m).

Accommodation and Activities
Keelutsoon club has two types of accommodation available.
Firstly, camping in tents or in your motor home or, in the club sports house (personal sleeping bad needed, mattresses are avilable).
For all those guests, washing facilities are in the sauna, free usage of it both evenings as long as everyone would like to.
Secondarily, there is a guesthouse within the premises, with 17 beds available. (2 big dormitories.)
Sleeping over there is 10€ extra per night. For guests of that house, traditional showers and amenities are available.
Please note during your registration if you like to reserve a place over there.
How to get here
Car
Best way. You will be flexible and cheap. From Tallinn head to Tartu and after 90 km be ready to turn to the airfield in Koigi or to HQ at Maekula.
Plane
Best to fly to Tallinn and after take a rented car. Look the "Car" description then.
