Bir Billing is well know site for paragliding in Himachal Pradesh and popular among both indian and foreigners pilots. Bir Billing is a small village surrounded by big mountains. Bir-Billing in the Dauladhar mountain range is known as one of the finest aero sports sites in the world .

Selection and entry fee
Registration Fee for the event is
200 Euros

Equipment Requirements:
- Glider Classification: EN, CCC
- Certified EN Harness
- Helmet
- Reserve

- 2m Radio
- Smart phone
- Insurance covering paragliding (proof will be checked at competition registration)
Insurance: Accident/Medical/hospitalization/Third Party Liability insurance covering paragliding (proof to be checked during registration). NO EXCEPTIONS!
[Pilot experience]
- IPPI 5 or any other equivalent Rating
- Pilots without IPPI or equivalent rating can participate if they can provide a flight log proof of having done an XC at least once in the past one year covering a distance of at least 30 km and/or recommendation by an instructor or a senior pilot. Such pilots are requested to provide the above before hand by sending the details to xc.indianopen@gmail.com. Decision taken by the organizing committee on entry of such pilots shall be deemed final.
Rescue helicopter will be on standby every day of the competition at Landing ground.
Rescue to the landing ground from the site of crash is free of cost.
Should medical evacuation be required to the nearest hospital or a multi specialty hospital then the pilot needs to pay for the same through his/her insurance.
The rescue team for the competition is from Air Zermatt Switzerland (https://www.air-zermatt.ch/en/ )

Maximum/Minimum Participants:
The maximum no. of pilots allowed for the comp is 100.
25% of the seats are reserved for foreign pilots. In case those 25% are not filled 2 weeks before the competition those seats will be given to local pilots.
