The qualifications were obtained

After the competition in the League, two World Cup qualifications, held in Serbia this year, all that remains is for pilots to compete at this memorial cup at last, the best ones in the state were distinguished. Yet, there almost won’t be any rest time for Serbian paragliding pilots for the European Championship that will be held in France, which awaits for them from August 31st until September 15th. There were 19 pilots of Serbian league taking part in this competition amoung which we have only 1 woman - Sanja Ristic. This year’s weather conditions have been most unhelpful to paraglider pilots, hindering them in every way from obtaining the title of state champions. Therefore, the State Championship, which was scheduled to be arranged on July 22nd to 28th in Knjazevac, was not held until a month later – from 22nd to 28th of August, at the Stolovi area, in the vicinity of Kraljevo. There, paragliding club “Eol” organized three simultaneous competitions – the State Championship, the “Aleksandar Sasa Lepir” Memorial Cup, and the 5th round of Serbian League in cross country flying.

Overall

  1. Predrag Dudic (690)
  2. Zivorad Glisovic (46)
  3. Srdjan Ristanovic (338)

Predrag Dudic (PC “Golija”, Raska) is the winner at our traditional memorial tournament “Aleksandar Sasa Lepir”, where he took the first place, competing against 18 other pilots. Zivorad Glisovic (PC “Eol”, Kraljevo) won the second place and only three points behind was Srdjan Ristanovic (“Dust Devil“ sports club, Belgrade), on the third place. These results allowed to define Serbian XC champions of 2012 (see on photo) - Predrag Dudic (PC “Golija”, Raska) became the state champion. Second place went to Srdjan Ristanovic (“Dust Devil“ sports club, Belgrade), while Zeljko Ovuka (FFC “Ares“ Belgrade) came in third.
