The Lakes Charity Classic is an informal paragliding competition held in some of England's most spectacular scenery.
There are 2 competitions
A Competition - This is for more experienced and seasoned pilots holding a minimum of Pilot rating. Any EN certified wing is permitted; uncertified gliders will not be accepted. Tandems are allowed but with only one named pilot in charge and scoring.

B competition - This is most suitable for less experienced pilots who wish to get the most flying from their day in a spectacularly scenic area. Less demanding, friendly tasks will be set and it is open to pilots with Club Pilot and Pilot ratings flying gliders of ENB/DHV1-2 and below.
In addition to the A and B Comps there is also a coaching group for less experienced pilots.

Accommodation and Activities
Once again, The Lakes Charity Classic will host this years X-Lakes at the Grasmere Sportsfield alongside the LCC. Competitors will be able to enter the 1-day X-Lakes event beforehand on the Friday and then compete in both days of the LCC if they wish. The hardcore 2-day X-Lakes event overlaps with the LCC so you cannot enter the 2-day X-Lakes as well as the LCC.
Camping and modestly sized motorhomes and caravans are welcomed on the Sports field. No booking for camping is required and all campers are asked to pay on arrival at the gate. Camping is available from Thursday night through till Sunday afternoon. There are excellent camping facilities available with men and women’s showers and toilets, although there are no electric hookups for campervans.
Non-competitors are also welcome to come and join in at the event, to book please use the form at http://lakescharityclassic.org
If you prefer stone walls around you, then Grasmere has a number of hotels and B&Bs of various grades and there is a local YHA in the village. We recommend a search via Booking.com
