Lithuanian Paragliding Championship is back in Lithuania!
Lithuania Open 2020 will be held on Augus 08 - 16, 2020. This will be the 8 days, FAI Category 2 sanctioned competition of the 2020 season. Competitors will be towed up with payout winch, flying sites will take place on roads near Panevezys town.
Flying site
Panevezys is a town in North Lithuania located about 150 km north from Vilnius and 247 km East from Klaipeda and the Baltic sea.
The place offers a fine flatland flying. Cloudbase in summer is approximately 1500 m.

Entry and tow fees
120 EUR entry fee can be paid by bank transfer until Sunday, Aug 02. 2020 (inclusive), later at competition place 150 Eur by cash.
Tow fee is not included into the entry fee. The price is 7 EUR per tow.

Plane
The nearest is Vilnius International Airport. Web site www.vilnius-airport.lt/en/
A special train runs from Vilnius Railway Station to the airport on a regular basis. A railway stop, stairs, passenger lift and lighting, as well as video surveillance system for passenger safety, are installed right outside the airport’s passenger terminal. A covered pedestrian walkway connects the airport’s terminal to the railway stop and is lit up at night.

It takes about 1 hour and half to get to Panevezys from Vilnius (144km) and 2 h 45 min to get from Klaipeda and the Baltic sea (247 km).
