This year Aksaray will be hosting 2019 Pre-World Cup - Superfinal Test, the first event in its class which will be held in Aksaray - Hasan Dagi region, a FAI sanctioned CAT2 event. The seven day event will run from 25 to 31 August 2019, with no rest days. 25 August will be an official practice day. Hasan Dagi has hosted Turkish Nationals in 2015, Pre-PWC in 2016 and PWC last year and has proved itself as a perfect competition flying site.

Mount Hasan (Turkish: Hasan Dağı) is an inactive stratovolcano in Aksaray province, Turkey. With an elevation of 3,268 m (10,722 ft), it ranks as the second highest mountain of central Anatolia. A caldera 4-5 kilometres wide formed near the current summit around 7500 BC, in an eruption recorded in Neolithic paintings.

The ancient settlement of Catalhoyuk collected obsidian from the area of Hasan Dagi, which they probably traded with other settlements for luxury goods. Obsidian mirrors and flakes have also been found. The importance of Hasan Dagi to the people of Catalhoyuk may be shown by a wall painting, sometimes called the "first landscape" by art historians, which some believe is a depiction of Hasan Dagi towering over the settlement's houses.

Approximately a six hours' walk is required to climb to the top of the mountain from the highest point accessible by car. The summit offers a fabulous view over the central Anatolian plateau, including distant Cappadocia.

Take off Hasan Dagi 1940 ASL
Coordinates: 38°09'732"N 34°09'890"E (UTM 36S 602046 4224452), spacious ground oriented North.
Wind direction of take off N,NW,NE,W,SW.
It takes about 30 minutes to drive to the take-off from Aksaray city center.

The region around Hasan Dagi (Hasan Mountain) has strong thermal activities. Pilots would be able to reach 4000 m to cloud base in a good day. Terrain that over flying path is generally consisting of plains so transportation will not be a big deal.
