Tam Duong site is located in North East of Vietnam which seperate from other North region by a high moutain range Hoang Lien Son. The site is surrounded by 2 high moutain ridges with 2 highest peaks of Vietnam which are Fansipang and Putaleng.
The beatiful landspace here still reserve quite orginally since tourist still not popular, where we can find local mijority ethnic culture living in high moutian villages with rice terrances and tea fields.
Tam Duong is also nearby a very famous sightseeing spot, Sapa moutain town which is 60km far. Its ideal for pilots retreat and relax after the competition.

Site info
The take off area is at 1400m ASL and it takes 30 minutes from HQ. Official landing zone is at 700m ASL which is a stadium and also very close to HQ with walking distance.
The flying season start from November to March when the farmers harvest the rices and weather getting dry thanks to South West wind and high moutain ridge block all the moisture from the North.
The cloudbase varies from 2500m to 3000m, sometimes could be 3500m. Pilot can make 100km out and return or triangle. The site record now is 110km triangle.
Sunlight time usually long as 7 to 10hours.
Thermal is from 2m/s to 7m/s.
Landing is not troublesome as along the ridge is big valley of rice terrances or tea fields and easy to go to the main road also along the ridge.
