The weather turns soarable in March in Florida and Quest Air is a great place to be in late March and April for cross country flying.
Please note that Saturday, March 25th is not a task day - it has been added to compensate for time zone differences.
Flying site
Wilotree Park (Sheets airfield) is located one mile south of Groveland in Florida, United States. Groveland itself is situated in Lake County, in the center of the state. The surrounding area is dominated by pasture lands intermixed with treed swamps and some residential areas.

The competition/mentoring flying days are from Sunday, March 26th to Saturday, April 1st.
This mentoring/competition event is not USHPA or CIVL sanctioned, so there are no WPRS sport class points (there never were USHPA NTSS points for sport class).

Accommodation and Activities
Plenty of shaded tent camping, $10 per night, first come first served. Check in with Spinner at the office.

How to get here
Sheets field (Quest Air Soaring Center) is about one mile south of Groveland, Florida, on State Highway 33. It is a left turn at a busy bend in the road (be careful). Headquarters is the club house, first building on the right.

Plane
The nearest international airport is Orlando. From there you take a car to Quest Air hang gliding club.
Car
It take about 1 hour driving from Orlando. Take highways 528, Florida's turnpike and FL-50 to get to Sheets airfield. This route is about 42 miles.
