An excellent start to the competition with 100km task set and achieved by one pilot and a good spread of the others. Day two weather was thunder showers and stronger winds which was unsuitable for aerotowing and a task, but most pilots enjoyed winch launches and free flying. The weather then became very thundery and windy for the remainder of the competition. With a worsening forecast for the last two days, the competition was ended on the 30th May.
