This year 2026 the joined event Alpen Cup - 41° Guarnieri International Trophy is held. Guarnieri International Trophy is one the most famous paragliding competitions in Italy held on an annual basis since 1984.

Monte Avena flying site is located in south-west of the Dolomites mountain range in Italian Alps. The region is very popular for its beautiful scenery and natural reserve parks. Usually fights take direction towards the city of Belluno where the highest peaks often reach an elevation more than 2000 m ASL.

Event info
This year 2026 the joined event Alpen Cup - 41° Guarnieri International Trophy is held. Guarnieri International Trophy is one the most famous paragliding competitions in Italy held on an annual basis since 1984. In 2014 the Alpen Cup was created in this location to create an event where 5 leagues could compete toghether. For many years pilots have come to Pedavena in the Belluno province of Italy to enjoy the great landscapes of the Dolomite Alps.
Selection and entry fee
Regular registration will be closed on 13th June, 2026.
Selection start 1st June 2026.
The event will only take place with a minimum of 70 paying pilot at 20th June, 2026.
130 pilots at most
- 25 (20%) reserved for German competitor, including 5 wildcards
- 25 (20%) reserved for Italian competitor, including 5 wildcards
- 25 (20%) reserved for Austrian competitor, including 5 wildcards
- 25 (20%) reserved for Swiss competitor, including 5 wildcards
- 25 (20%) reserved for Slovenian competitor, including 5 wildcards
- 5 wild cards for the organizer
Any empty spots will be assigned by order of world ranking, 25% of these spots will be reserved for women.
Documents required at registration

FAI Sporting Licence
Issued by your local NAC on behalf of the FAI. You cannot normally compete in an FAI event without one. Contact your National Association (NAC)

FAI IPPI Card
The FAI IPPI card is an International card that states your skill level. It is issued by your National Association and matches the level or your flying Licence

National Licence
The organiser requires you to present your National flying licence.

Signed Application form
You will need to sign an applicaton form at the venue. Usually the organiser will provide it on arrival.

Signed Waiver/Release form
You will need to sign a waiver or release document to show you understand the risks. Usually the organiser will provide it on arrival.

Identification documents needed
You will need to provide photo ID on arrival. This could be Passport, Driving Licence or National ID, for example.

Liability Insurance
You must provide the organiser with a copy of your liability (3rd party) insurance documents

Rescue/Medical Insurance
You must provide the organiser with a copy of your medical, rescue and repatriation insurance. You can purchase Global Rescue cover from Airtribune
Cancellation Policy
The Trophy will be valid even with only one task.
If not even one valid task is disputed, the organisation will consider the refund amount based on the already spent costs.
Pilots who withdraw their registration will receive a refund as follows:
• Cancellation by 20th June 2026: 70% refund to cover organizational costs. The refund will be made at the end of the competition.
• Cancellation from 21st June 2026 and until the start of the competition won't be refunded.
