Flying site

Bototillo - a famous flying site in Ecuador - is located 10 km W from the city of Guayaquil - the capital of Guayas province.
It's a green hill mounting over a vast puppulated valley. Usual cloud base is around 1600.

This time again we expect intersting competition with flights over beautiful valleys of Ecuador. Guayaquil is the biggest city and also is one the main places of interest of the country.

Flying site

Bototillo - a famous flying site in Ecuador - is located 10 km W from the city of Guayaquil - the capital of Guayas province.
It's a green hill mounting over a vast puppulated valley. Usual cloud base is around 1600. Average thermals +3+4 m/s. It's a place were many local competions were held. The longest flight made from this start was straight line 93 km. The take off is privately run.

Height above valley is 325m.
Wind: South-West (10km/h).
The slope is covered with carpet and stones. The launch ground is big enough for simultaneous taking-off of 120 pilots. No power lines, no cables or any other hazards.
There is a little of space for parking official and visitors’ cars.
There is no water on take-off.

Selection and entry fee

The requirements for a pilot to enter this competition are:
• to hold valid FAI and pilot license.
• to prove the airworthy of his glider.
• maximum number of participants is 120.

Entry fees: 200.00 Dollars from 20 agosto, 2015 until October 31, 2015
After Nov. 01 the value is 250.00 Dollars
