Elmali is located in between Antalya and world famous Oludeniz. It offers a great combination of flatland and high mountain flying along with a fantastic scenery. The possibilities to fly in all directions are enormous. Although it was along the way for many XC flights around the region, the idea to start the day from one the natural takeoffs in Elmali is new. All in all, the area is a well proven XC destination, this competition is within the heartland of it.
The best period to fly is from March to September, yet June and August are particularly strong with excellent thermals up to 6-7 m/s. Still at any other time of the year, the place offers good flying conditions. So Elmali with its convenient location and good flying weather all year round welcomes pilots to have fine XC flights.
Average flights made are around 100+ km straight distance or out-and-return. With good S-SW winds this place could turn into a record chasers paradise. Cloud base is generally 3000 m and more. In the end of March 2017 the pilots reached the altitude of 4400 m.

Main Launch Site: Dudenkoy (1690 ASL / 36.6664639°, 029.9614833°)
It is possible to launch in all directions. Dudenkoy launch site is an all natural slope, but some landscape arrangements will be done prior to competition for pilots to have a even more comfortable conditions. Another good thing is the distance between Elmali city center and the launch site which only takes 20 minutes.
