Take Off: El Peñon ( Temascaltepec)
It is one of the most famous take offs in the World. World Championship in HG and PG were held here. The wind hitting the slopes and constant, strong thermals in the area, make it great flying side.

For fifth time El Penon Classic Race will take place in Valle del Bravo. The competition will be held in two categories Hang gliders class 1 and class 1 Sport. It is organized by Vuelo Libre Mexico.
Selection and entry fee
• XC flying experience
• Valid pilot license and valid FAI sporting license
• Medical insurance covering hand gliding
• Third party liability insurance covering hang gliding
• IPPI card level 5 - if you don't have it please contact us by email
If there will be more than 100 pilot registered allocation procedure will be applied according to current WPRS ranking. Selection for pilots will be announced on 18th January 2017 - the selected pilots will receive an email with payment details.
ENTRY FEE:
100 USD
Pay in mind that only with pre payment you guaranty your place in competition.
The entry fee includes:

• Ambulance at TO and in goal

How to get here
By plane: The nearest airport is Toluca. But most of international connections arrive to Mexico City airport. From there we can organise transportation. If you need our help to get from Mexico to Valle please let us know: photoklaudia@gmail.com
By car: From Mexico City airport there is about 3 hours driving time. Most of time on a high way.
