A meeting place for masters and beginners, old and new friends. May and June in Tekeli is known for good weather and picturesque views, the place is perfect for both paragliding masters and novice pilots who are just getting used to the sky.

Flying site


Competitions will be held in the Zhetysu region. We will have three take off sites. Two of them are located close to a city called " Tekeli"

Start 1- Start height above sea level 1200 meters

Start 2- Start height above sea level 1800 meters

Landing 1- height above sea level 1000 meters Reserve take off is: The pilots themselves call our place "Koksu" since a river with the same name flows near the village of Rudnichny.

Start 1- Start height above sea level 1200 meters

Start 2- Start height above sea level 1800 meters

Landing 1- height above sea level 1000 meters Reserve take off is: The pilots themselves call our place "Koksu" since a river with the same name flows near the village of Rudnichny. This place is quite famous among Kazakh pilots for its picturesque views and interesting flights. The difference between the start and landing is 700 meters.

Start 3- height above sea level 1950 meters

Landing 2- height above sea level 1250 meters.

Selection and entry fee

-Funding of the event is carried out at the expense of the entry fees of the competitors.

FOR FOREIGN PILOTS

Standart entry fee- 290 euro

FOR KAZAKHSTAN PILOTS

Standart entry fee- 150 euro

Documents required at registration

  • Issued by your local NAC on behalf of the FAI. You cannot normally compete in an FAI event without one. Contact your National Association (NAC)

    FAI Sporting Licence
  • You will need to sign an applicaton form at the venue. Usually the organiser will provide it on arrival.

  • You will need to sign a waiver or release document to show you understand the risks. Usually the organiser will provide it on arrival.

  • You will need to provide photo ID on arrival. This could be Passport, Driving Licence or National ID, for example.

How to get here

The fastest way to get to the Taldykorgan from Almaty international Airport is to:

1-Take a taxi

2-Take a bus which is going from the road station.

3-The best option for pilots who don't speak local language is to fill the form with the details of their arrival to Almaty so organiser could provide for them transportation to the flying site:
