Dear Pilots,
the 2nd edition of the X-LANDS Oberlausitz-Lower Silesia will take place in Rothenburg-Oberlausitz (EDBR) from July 3rd to 6th 2020. Rothenburg is a large airfield with excellent thermal conditions. The goal is to get a mixed pilot participation, Hanggliders and Paragliders, from different countries (Poland, Germany, Czech...) and different levels. We want to make collectively nice flights with a semi-professional support but without the rigidity of a competition. We will fly XC, but also jusf for fun in the relaxing late afternoon thermals until sunset. Event is made for Hanggliders (UL towing) and Paragliders (winch towing). The level of pilots goes from "A-Schein" (IPPI4) pilots to experienced XC with "B-Schein" (IPPI5). Ines Zießau, Drachenfluglehrerin, will assist either to qualify for the UL-towing or to help A-Schein pilots going XC with theory and briefing sessions.
We will be happy to welcome you at the X-Lands 2020, the low stress free flight event ;-)

Selection and entry fee
DHV A License or IPPI4 with participation to Briefing and Theory session
DHV B license or IPPI5
CIVL ID. The easiest way is to register on the DHV page and then create your CIVL number. See "CIVL registration" document in download area.
For pilots with foreign license, a IPPI card is required.
Participation fees :
->Drachenflieger :
Teilnahmegebühren : 60€, ermäßigt 40€ für Piloten unter 30 Jahren und ausländische Piloten
Schleppgebühren: 5€ x 100m
->Gleitschirmflieger:
Teilnahmegebühren : 60€, ermäßigt 40€ für Piloten unter 30 Jahren und ausländische Piloten
Schleppgebühren: 5€ x Schlepp
Campinggebühren zusätzlich : 7€ pro Tag pro Person
Training fees Drachenflieger:
- UL towing qualification : 20€ per flights + towing fees
- UL towing theory : 50€ / 20€ for refreshers with license
- B-License Theory : 100€

General schedule
Pilots arrival after 2pm (airfield is closed before)
Pilot registration 4 to 8pm
First flights on July 2nd end of afternoon.
Welcome meeting around 20 Uhr.
Daily schedule
9 - 10am - leading team meeting to prepare weather/safety/task briefing
10 - 11am - daily pilot briefing
-> logistic and organisation
-> safety instruction
-> weather and tasks briefing
Flights starting from 11am
Training flights in early hours and later afternoon.
Programm:
Donnerstag: Ankunft ab 14 Uhr und Anmeldung bis 20 Uhr. Achtung: der Flugplatz ist vor 14 Uhr nicht zugänglich
Bei Möglichkeit werden die ersten Schlepps in der Spätnachmittagsthermik durchgeführt.
Freitag den 3.7.2020 - Briefing um 10 Uhr – 1. Durchgang ab 11 Uhr
Samstag den 4.7.2020 - Briefing um 10 Uhr – 1. Durchgang ab 11 Uhr
Sonntag, den 5.7.2020 - Briefing um 10 Uhr – 1. Durchgang ab 11 Uhr
Montag, den 6.7.2020 - Briefing um 10 Uhr – 1. Durchgang ab 11 Uhr
Accommodation and Activities
The local glider association give us access to camping and facilities (shower/toilets). Rothenburg airfield is a huge airfield in the middle of the lausitz natural park https://www.xn--biosphrenreservat-oberlausitz-5pc.de/en
How to get here
Our Flycamp take place in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve "Oberlausitzer Heide- & Teichlandschaft". So you can be sure, there is a lot to discover there, not only in the air. Think about bicyles and swiming clothes.
