Event info

The Belgian Ardenne Paragliding Open is a flatland competition spread over 8 weekends. We will be using the footlaunched hill takeoffs of the beautiful Ardennes in the south of Belgium and the north of France. The weekends are:
17-18 March
21-22 April
5-6 May
26-27 May
2-3 June
16-17 June
1-2 September
22-23 September

Every weekend will be a separate FAI Cat 2 competition. When the competition sells out completely, we expect between 30 and 40 points for the winner if we can fit 2 tasks in. There is no need to participate in all weekends, pilots can participate as it ifts their agenda. For every weekend we keep 10 day tickets which can be obtained from one week before the event with the Meet Director.

In case of bad weather, we will cancel the weekend on thursday or friday evening before the weekend.

Retrieve is not foreseen by default, but we will facilitate retrieve by fellow competitors through a whatsapp group, and, as much as possible we will take hotspots of public transportation as goals for the tasks with the possibility to return to take off by train or bus. The belgium Ardennes are well served by the Belgian railroad, the most dense rail network in the world!

No airspace infringement will be allowed during the competition, and we will provide you with correct OpenAir files.

Scoring will be done after the event, and offline. All participants will be required to send in their IGC track file via email before monday 20h00.
