This is the second installment of the German Open in the beautiful Spanish flying site of Àger. For German pilots this will be the national championship of 2022, whereas international pilots have the chance to earn a letter for the PWC or collect points for the WPRS in this high profile FAI CAT2 event.

Es un despegue muy amplio y despejado. Permite prepararse a multitud de voladores a la vez, con una salida útil de más de 50m. Dispone de diversas mangas y cintas para controlar el viento. Su orientación es Sur, permitiendo la salida con viento cruzado del Oeste.

Ager is a locality in the valley between Sierra de Monsec mountains and Aiguabarreig Segre-Noguera Pallaresa National park in Lleida province of Spain.

Main take off Coll D’Ares - 1560 m ASL 31T 313555 , 4657599 (42.048339,0.747082)
It is very big and clear take off. It has a few streamers to show the wind. It is South faced, but it allows to take off with West winds. If there is East wind, it is slightly in rotor. In an east it's better to continue to the Sant Alis take off. The height to Ager is 960 m.

Selection and entry fee

Entry fee is 270,-€ after selection and notification via Email.
60 places are reserved for German League Members 2022.
Max.10 Wildcards for the Organizers.
The remaining international pilots (max 140 total) will be selected according to their WPRS ranking as of 01.03.2022.

Documents required at registration

  • Issued by your local NAC on behalf of the FAI. You cannot normally compete in an FAI event without one. Contact your National Association (NAC)

  • The organiser requires you to present your National flying licence.

  • You will need to sign a waiver or release document to show you understand the risks. Usually the organiser will provide it on arrival.

  • You must provide the organiser with a copy of your liability (3rd party) insurance documents

  • You must provide the organiser with a copy of your medical, rescue and repatriation insurance. You can purchase Global Rescue cover from Airtribune

Cancellation Policy

If a pilot cancels before 1st of August the registration fee minus 10€ (booking fee) will be refunded. 50% of the registration fee will be refunded if a pilot cancels by 15th of August. After 16th of August the registration fee will not be refunded.

Due to COVID restrictions and protocols there is a possibility that the event may be cancelled. Therefore 250,-€ of the fee will be refunded if the competition is cancelled by the organizer.

Prize fund and scoring categories

1500,-€ will be distributed among the winners of the diffferent categories. We will also have prizes offered by our event sponsors. Among those will be a new NAVITER Oudie N, which all pilots have an equal chance to win at the tombola during the closing ceremony.

Registration day, transports to takeoff between 11:00 and 12:00
17:00-21:00 local registration at HQ
