NAGY EGED

This hill is 520m high. It is surrounded by other small hills around 500-700m high, from north and a big Hungarian flatland from south.
The place is on of our best spot for cross-country flying in Hungary.
The tasks flown here are usually include flatland as well as "mountain" flying.
Thermal conditions are moderate to medium strong thermals, in average conditions 2-4 m/s. Cloudbase is usually about 2000 m.
The most favorable condition is NW-W wind, and usual flying routes are going towards E-S (also the best in terms of easy retrieval).

Precautions: nothing special - no serious airspace restriction, no dangerous areas.

Because of the poor road connection to the launch area, only equipment transportation is provided. Needs 15-25min walk to the take off.

We will launch from Sárhegy if the weather is not ok in Eger.

Other launch option is Sátoraljaújhely Magas-hegy for N or NE wind.
We need to use cable-car for the transport there.
