The competition “Montegrappa Trophy 2025 HG” is a FAI Category 2 hang glider event. The main organisers are “Aero Club Lega Piloti” (Suello Lombardia - Italy) and “ASD Volo Libero Montegrappa” (Borso del Grappa (TV) - Italy).
Selection and entry fee
Pre-registrations can be done only through the website https://airtribune.com, from 6h of January 2025. Only pre-registered pilots with a valid FAI license will be accepted. Valid third-party insurance is mandatory.

(*) In compliance with the Italian National Sporting Code 2023 (app. B.2), in the first selection round, 30% of the available places will be guaranteed to Italian pilots, according to the Italian Overall Ranking (reference date 1st February 2025). If an Italian pilot renounces or does not pay the entry fee within the established deadline, his/her place will be reassigned to another pilot selected according to the FAI WPRS.
In the case of equal rankings, a pre-registration order is considered.
In case of equal rankings, the first pilot who made the pre-registration will be given priority. Registration to the competition becomes effective only after the entry fee payment, which has to be done within 6 days from the confirmation date. Confirmation will be sent to pilots by email and published in the list of confirmed participants. Pilots who won’t pay within the deadline will be moved to the bottom of the selection list. Organizers have the right not to accept the registration of pilots considered not eligible for safety reasons or in case compliance with legal requirements cannot be verified.
Entry fee and payment
The entry fee is € 220.00, including:

Winners must be present at the awards ceremony to collect the prize. Proxies are not
accepted. Prizes not claimed will remain with the organization.
Live
The entry fee is 220 €. if paid before March 16, 2025
120€ must be paid by 23rd February 2025. The remaining 100 € must be paid before March 16th.
After March 16 the entry fee increases in steps up to +40 Euro more.
Late payments will follow this rule: 110 € within March 23rd , 120€ within March 30th , 130 € within April 6th , 140 € within April 16th.
Bank payments are accepted. PayPal is accepted with a 3,5% surcharge. Cash payments are not accepted. The payment receipt must be sent to the following email address: delta@trofeomontegrappa.it.
Organizers have the right not to accept the registration of pilots considered not eligible for safety reasons or in case compliance with legal requirements cannot be verified.
Liability
Pilots participate in the competition at their own risk. The organizer is not responsible for the pilots or any other third party. The transfer to take-off and the retrieval service are at the pilots’ own risk. It is the responsibility of each competing pilot to ensure that he has valid insurance covering public liability risk, personal accident, hospitalization, and repatriation.
Documents required at registration

FAI Sporting Licence
Issued by your local NAC on behalf of the FAI. You cannot normally compete in an FAI event without one. Contact your National Association (NAC)

National Licence
The organiser requires you to present your National flying licence.

Signed Waiver/Release form
You will need to sign a waiver or release document to show you understand the risks. Usually the organiser will provide it on arrival.

Identification documents needed
You will need to provide photo ID on arrival. This could be Passport, Driving Licence or National ID, for example.

Liability Insurance
You must provide the organiser with a copy of your liability (3rd party) insurance documents

Rescue/Medical Insurance
You must provide the organiser with a copy of your medical, rescue and repatriation insurance. You can purchase Global Rescue cover from Airtribune
Cancellation Policy
Prize fund and scoring categories
The following categories will be ranked:
- Hang gliding CLASS 1
- Hang gliding CLASS 1 WOMEN (with at least 5 participants)
- Hang gliding CLASS 5 (with at least 5 participants)
- Hang gliding CLASS 1 SPORT (with at least 5 participants)
- Hang gliding CLASS 1 SPORT WOMEN (with at least 5 participants)

Winners must be present at the awards ceremony to collect the prize. Proxies are not accepted. Prizes not claimed will remain at the organization.
