2021 Kazakhstan Open Paragliding Championship is a national championship opened to everyone qualified.

Flying site

Kokterek flying site is located in East Kazakhstan District of Kazakhstan. The nearest big city to get to the take off is Ust-Kamenogorsk (Oskemen) that is administrative center of the district. The mountain rigde heads towards Altay and is situated in between three lakes: Zaysan, Markakol and Bukhtarminskoe reservoir. Climate is continental. Moderate hot and dry in summer (25-30C day, 12-15C night). Usual cloudbase 2000-4000 ASL.

Kokterek take off - 1200 m ASL, 49.114232N, 84.537736E
The take is located near the village of Kokterek. It is grassy slope that can host 5 gliders at the same time. Winds: N, NE. Landing is possible everywhere: 400-450 m ASL

Selection and entry fee

Requred skills: PARA PRO Stage 4 and up / Требуемые навыки: PARA PRO уровня 4 и выше
Entry fee: 100euro / Стартовый взнос: 100 евро
Entry fee includes: transport to takeoff and retrive from the main roads, a printed map, T-shirt, opening&closing ceremony, scoring / Стартовый взнос включает: завоз участников на старт и подбор с основных дорог по маршруту, карту местности, майку участника, церемонии открытия и закрытия, судейство.

Issued by your local NAC on behalf of the FAI. You cannot normally compete in an FAI event without one. Contact your National Association (NAC)

FAI Sporting Licence
The organiser requires you to present your National flying licence.

You will need to sign an applicaton form at the venue. Usually the organiser will provide it on arrival.

Signed Application form
You will need to sign a waiver or release document to show you understand the risks. Usually the organiser will provide it on arrival.

You will need to provide photo ID on arrival. This could be Passport, Driving Licence or National ID, for example.

1й Вариант: проезд через г. Усть-Каменогорск:

Едем по основной трассе на с.Самарское.
Проезжаем: п.Скалистое, п.Таргын, п.Верхние таинты, перевал Умыш
далее п2)

2й Вариант: проезд с трассы А3 Алматы - Усть-Каменогорск

проезжаем: Уланское, Никитинка,
мимо Сибинских озер (есть хорошее место под летной горой для стоянки, см. примечание ***)
п.Таргын, п.Верхние таинты, перевал Умыш
далее п2)

2) 49.040091N 83.382960E - Т-образный перекресток
поворот налево на паром

3) 49.267385N 84.103741E - Причал парома левый берег
Переправа на пароме. Паром ходит с 8 утра до 22 вечера.

4) 49.294816N 84.116422E - Причал парома правый берег
Паром ходит с 7 утра до 21 вечера.

5) 49.212800N 84.467795E - Развилка на въезде в Б.Нарым
Держимся правой стороны на развилке

6) 49.211476N 84.515018E - Поворот направо в селе Б.Нарым
Выезд из Большенарыма на Балгын. После выезда шоссе гравийка

7) 49.156276N 84.558148E - Т-образный перекросток возле п.Балгын
Повороачиваем направо. Проезжаем мимо съезда на п.Коктерек.
Едем прямо до лагеря.

8) 49.127989N 84.348981E - Лагерь
Съезд к лагерю.

Примечание:

*** - Место для стоянки под горой на Сибинских озерах. При выездах на полёты традиционно ставим палатки под горой,
на которой летаем. Находится напротив 2-го озера.

Палатки ставим: 49.430950N 82.605471E
Родник находится в густом леске между съездом с дороги и стоянкой.
При северных направлениях метеоветра на горке шикарный широкий динамик. Подъем на гору пешком по тропе справа по гребню.
