The Owens Valley Cross Country Classic is a USHPA Sanctioned and FAI Cat 2 Paragliding Race To Goal Competition. The "OVXCC" is also a U.S. National Championship Event for 2015.

The Owens Valley Cross Country Classic 2015 will be held in the White Mountains of the Owens Valley.
The Sierra Nevada Mountains form the west side of the Owens Valley and the White-Inyo Mountains the east.

HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE EVENT:
Step 1.
Sign in and register as a new user at Airtribune
Already a registered user...
Then click on "EVENTS" scroll down to find the "Owens Valley Cross Country Classic 2015 ~ US PG Nationals" competition page, enter and click on the registration tab.
* PLEASE ~ Make sure to include a profile picture of YOU :) !! This is very important!
Step 2.
Paperwork:
* Go to Downloads and fill out the following two documents:
1. USHPA Event Waiver
2. USHPA Emergency Medical Information Form
* Email them to: flytheowens@gmail.com

Step 3.
Shared Page:
* Personal tracking devices are mandatory for this event that includes GPS tracking!!!
Email your "shared page" to:

*Go to Here. and pay the suggested donation to Dave Wheeler, who runs the amazing site, for $20/year or $5/Competition. We will be using the tracking for retrieval and safety reasons.

* TUR, HA, FLS, XC, RLF
* SPOT Messenger or equivalent
* Radio - compatible with USHPA Frequencies 151.505 -158.400

* Oxygen system - ( Refills will be available at HQ for $15 per fill )
**We will have standard adapters CGA-870 and CGA-540 if your system uses something else make sure you bring your own adapter.
*** Your Cylinder needs to have been tested and date stamped within the last five years in order for us to offer a re-fill.
* Emergency First Aid Kit (to fly with) - Here.
* A cord to connect your flight instrument to your computer which allows you to upload your track log to the official scoring site remotely.

* 2015 Overall US National Champion 1st Place
* Competition Class ~ 1st - 3rd
* C Class ~ 1st - 3rd

** Paraglider classification nomenclature changed to:
- Competition Class (replaces/encompasses Open and Serial Classes)
- C Class (replaces Sport Class)
** A/B Class Gliders are welcome to fly in the event!
