Welcome to a Swedish Cup in the record breaking area of Ålleberg and Falköping!
The comp will be held in august 2021 and it is FAI cat2 sanctioned.

Location: Ålleberg or Falköping Airport.
We will be based at the classic hill Ålleberg (foot launch) or Falköping Airport (towing)
Ålleberg is flyable on the West side (with WSW-W-WNW-NW wind) or the East side with east winds.
If the wind is not suitable (south or north or too weak or to cross winds) for Ålleberg we'll be towing from Falköpings Flygplats 3km from Ålleberg near the Falköping town.
All participants must be prepared to get to the takeoff chosen every day on their own.

Comp beginner friendly!
We especially encourage comp-rookies to join as all tasks shall be made so everyone will have a decent chance of reaching goal or at least get away on nice XC flights.

Elapsed time will be used on all tasks and re-starts will be allowed (until the time the start cylinder is closed) so if you bomb out you'll wanna hurry back to TO or get in the towing queue...

Pilot Quantity:
40 pilots will be the maximum participating amount of pilots due to the towing capacity (pilots are allowed to relaunch if they did not exit the startgate.)
25% participant spots are held for international pilots according to CIVL rules for a cat2 event until 30 days before the comp.

Registration open Saturday 26th June 1800 CET
Fee: 1000 SEK or 100 EUR

The competition will be valid if minimum one task with minimum 10 pilots participating is done according to the Swedish Cup rules.

License:
Swedish pilots need Swedish P2 + Comp1/2 + FAI license.
Foreign comp pilots need FAI license.
If the comp isn't full then Swedish Pilots without Comp1 or P2 are welcome to join but will not get official scoring valid for FAI ranking.

Mandatory Equipment:
Certified equipment: Glider, harness, reserve, helmet.
2m radio. (charged!)
Smartphone + Telegram app.
Instrument/Vario with GPS recorder for spare tracklog.
Towing bridles.
First aid kit.

Waypoints:
Official Waypoints can be downloaded here on the Airtribune site before the comp. The Final waypoint files are set 7 days before the comp

Airspace:
All pilots must be familiar with the airspaces in Western Sweden. We'll of course include airspace regards in the briefings.

Retrieve:
We'll have one official minibus. There are public buses along most main roads in the area and it is easy to hitchhike usually...

All pilots are of course allowed to fly away as far as possible on XC after reaching the goal!

1900 Goal close
1930 Deadline report back time (If some pilots is still flying on long XC we see that on trackers)
2200 Provisional results posted online



COVID-19 info (updated 2021-06-02)

Negative COVID-19 test required for entry into Sweden for non nordic citizens.
Travellers from outside the Nordic countries must present a negative COVID-19 test in order to enter Sweden.
Swedish citizens or travellers from Norway, Finland, Denmark and Iceland do not need to present a negative COVID-19 test upon entry. This also applies to people under the age of 18 and people with residence permits in Sweden, regardless of citizenship.
