Asian Paragliding Tour
An Asian competition tour organizing events in the various Asian nations and scoring for a continental Asian league.
Gin explained that the PWCA was originally conceived and formed as a pilot organization intending to open up the competition world to pilots of all nations irrespective of the affiliations of their NAC and exist as a body run by pilots for pilots.
Over time the accessibility of the World Cup to Asian pilots has reduced due to the logistics (travel time, visas etc.) and cost in travelling and the number of higher ranked non-Asian pilots registering.
For many years Gin has been thinking of a way to improve the situation for Asian pilots and provide a platform for learning and shared experiences, together with improve world ranking.
Asia is at the forefront of development of paragliding as a mainstream sport. A decision will be made on 5th September 2016 to include paragliding (accuracy and cross-country) in the upcoming Asian Games in Indonesia. The future of paragliding as an Olympic sport in Tokyo 2020 will also soon be voted (30th September 2016).
The competition in Palu brings together more Asian nations than any recent event and provides an ideal platform to discuss the way to develop Asian competitions.
“We can share culture, learning and as a group together we can learn and improve. But we need someone (some system) to organise things. As long as we can fly and compete we are happy”
飛行傘亞洲聯賽起源於2016 在印尼帕盧(Indonesia Palu)世界盃會前賽,宋珍錫(Gin Glider 創辦人)所發起,他解釋PWCA的舉辦目地是讓世界各地的飛行員能有參賽機會,但隨時間演變,亞洲選手因旅行時間與簽證等問題,讓亞洲選手參賽機會減少,所以在世界排名,亞洲選手無法有好的排名,飛行傘亞洲聯賽目地是讓亞洲選手能取得更好的世界排名,更促進亞洲各國的交流學習與進步,享受飛行競賽的樂趣。

Saijia is local in south of Taiwan Pingtung City, 40 minute from Pingtung city by car. The nearest international airport (KHH) is in Kaohsiung City, the second large city in Taiwan. It Take 90 minute from airport to Saijia by car.
The mountain in this area local in east side and flat ground in the other side, From south to north around 80km. average high is above 1000m. Constant wind is West wind, 10~15km/hr. The flat ground most is dry river bed or farm, become very good thermal source below to mountain and safe landing. The normal XC route from take off to north 25km then return (max 50km no return), To west all flat ground 12km then return (max 20km and return).More interesting is triangle path.
Saijia is good for fly whole season. But summer time ( May ~ September) is typhoon season and over develop weather, Winner is dry season and comfortable temperature (18~25 C),Stable and predictable fly condition.
賽嘉位在台灣屏東縣,由屏東市40分鐘的車程就可抵達,最近的國際機場是位於高雄市(台灣第二大城市)的小港機場(KHH) ,需90分鐘的車程就可以到達賽嘉。
山脈位於飛行場東方,由南到北延伸80公里,平均高度約1000公尺,常年吹西風,風速10~15公里,大多的平原是乾枯的河床或是農田,都是很好的降落場與熱氣流來源,經常性的越野路線是由起飛場往北25公里往返(最長50公里直線) ,往西邊平原可以飛行12公里往返(最長20公里並返回) ,最有趣的航線是三角航線。
賽嘉整年都適合飛行,但在夏天(5月~9月)是颱風季節,並有過度發展的雷雨,冬季是乾季,氣候宜人,穩定且容易預測的飛行天候狀態。

Kaohsiung city:There are many Hotel and Motel in the city, MRT and Taxi is easy travel in the city, Different kind of restaurant and scenic spots in the city. Go to airport by Taxi around 15 minute or you can take the MRT or city bus. From city to fly site will take 70~90 minute.

屏東市旅館較少,房間多為簡單型式的與低價格的,市中心大多得步行或搭乘計程車,交通較為不便,但仍有許多餐廳可以供選擇。可以搭計程車或火車前往高雄,後轉搭大眾運輸系統前往高雄機場,但需時2小時。

You can take Taxi or public transportation to Hotel
HSRL(High Speed Rail Way)
If you take the airplane to Taipei(TPE). You can take the transfer BUS or Taxi to HSRW Taoyuan Station then go to Zuoying station (Kaohsiung city). It need 90 minute for travel, http://www.thsrc.com.tw/index_en.html?force=1
After arrival Kaohsiung city. You can take Taxi or public transportation to Hotel.
Heading to Fly site and HQ, You can drive or take the Taxi. Organize will provide shuttle bus from specify Hotel to Fly site and HQ, (need extra charge)
