The FatraCup is a FAI CAT 2 paragliding competition and this year also Czech & Slovak championship for 2020. It is being held in Martin, Turiec region surrounded by Fatra mountains.
The region of Turiec spreads in the north-western part of Slovakia in the Turčianska kotlina basin surrounded by the mountain ranges of Malá and Veľká Fatra, Kremnické vrchy, and Žiar.

Event info
The FatraCup is a FAI CAT 2 paragliding competition and this year also Czech & Slovak championship for 2020. It is being held in Martin, Turiec region surrounded by Fatra mountains.
The region of Turiec spreads in the north-western part of Slovakia in the Turčianska kotlina basin surrounded by the mountain ranges of Malá and Veľká Fatra, Kremnické vrchy, and Žiar. The axis of the valley is the Turiec river. For its beauty and natural assets, this region is one of the most picturesque in the territory of Slovakia and it is sometimes referred to as the "garden of Turiec". The Malá and Veľká Fatra Mts. are ideal for many sports like hiking, cycling, paragliding and mountaineering.
Selection and entry fee
Pilots
The necessary requirements for a pilot to enter this competition are:
• Valid pilot license
• Valid FAI sporting license (please check it with your NAC)
• IPPI card min. level 4
• Medical insurance covering paragliding with mountain rescue assistance
• Third party liability insurance covering paragliding
• It is highly recommended that all pilots fly with unmodified and certified helmet, harness, paraglider and rescue parachute, 2m radio & mobile phone
• to prove the airworthiness of his glider (valid technical check if glider is older than 2 years)
Entry fee
160 EUR entry fee paid by bank transfer or by PayPal till June 30th
195 EUR after June 30th or during the registration
35 places are reserved for the Slovak pilots and 60 places are reserved for Czech pilots till June 20st
After June 20th the selection key is FPFI - "First Pay First In". The payment date is decisive.

The Entry fee includes:
- transport to the take-off
- retrieve from the main routes for all the registered pilots during all competition days (no private retrieval from anywhere)
- upload of turnpoint’s GPS coordinates, GPS tracklog download
- color map, ID card

- free access to all competition events and parties
- WiFi internet
- livetracking (Flymaster/Airtribune)
Prize fund and scoring categories
In Overall category you can use RFC gliders by rule one glider per one manufacturer and pilot has to be "TEST" pilot certified.
All categories compete for FAI points (WPRS). Please, look at the local rules as well as FAI Rule book (section 7, class O), as this competition is FAI 2 category, which automatically implies all FAI rules.

Accommodation and Activities
Accomodation and camping:
Directly in airport (HQ place) is possibility for camping and accommodation.
There is boarding house with 27 beds (3 rooms by 5 beds, 2 rooms by 6 beds), shared kitchen, shared bathroom, shared toilets in the house but with own bedding or sleeping bag.
Camping is possible on the greenfield, with shared toilets, shared bathroom and electrical connection.
Price for bed is €10 / person / night
Price for camping is €7 / person / night

How to get here
To closest city Martin or Vrútky you can travell by car, bus or train. The easiest way to get to HQ is by car, but there are also connections by city bus. From Martin or Vrútky city we can supply transport to HQ.
If you have possibilities travel by small ultralight plane, there is also option to come and land directly in airfield (LZMA), will be cool :)
