Der SauerlandAir e.V. lädt zum NRW-CUP 2026 ein. Mit der Editition 3.0 bauen wir wieder auf fantastische Wetterbedingungen. Ohne Trainingstag. :-) Auch in diesem Jahr freut sich der Club, alle ambitionierten XC-Piloten, Wettkampfprofis und Neueinsteiger im Sauerland zu begrüßen. Gemeinsam werden wir die Frühjahrsthermik im Sauerland nutzen um, nach einer heißen Waffel am Startplatz, die deutsche Wettkampfsaison zu eröffnen. Anschließend lassen wir die Abende wieder am berühmten HQ / Campground in Elpe bei einem Glas VELTINS am Feuer ausklingen.
Die Landesmeisterschaft NRW ist erneut eingebettet in einen internationalen FAI 2-Wettbewerb und findet zum dritten Mal in unseren Top-Geländen statt. Die großen Startplätze ermöglichen ein Teilnehmerfeld von 100 Piloten.
Auch in diesem Jahr haben sich die Organisatoren des NRW-CUPS und der MOSEL-TROPHY wieder aufeinander abgestimmt. Um eine doppelte Anreise in die Mitte Deutschlands zu vermeiden, wurden die Termine beider Wettbewerbe eng zusammen gelegt. Durch die günstige Lage der Feiertage sind beide Wettkämpfe mit wenigen Urlaubstagen zu fliegen. Beide Bewerbe werden den "2. Deutschen Mittelgebirgspokal" ergeben, der zusätzlich als Gesamtwertung aus beiden Wettkämpfen ausgeschrieben wird.
WICHTIG: Dieser Wettbewerb ist zusammen mit der Mosel Trophy Teil des „Mittelgebirgs Cup“. Beide Wettbewerbe haben einen gemeinsamen Ausweichtermin (5./6. Mai 2026), der je nach Wetterlage und nach Ermessen der Organisatoren entweder für die Mosel Trophy oder für den NRW Cup genutzt wird.
Geplant ist, jedem Piloten, der sich im Sauerland zur Teilnahme qualifiziert, auch an der Mosel einen Platz zu sichern. Die Ergebnisse des Mittelgebirgspokals werden am Ende des 3. NRW-CUP ausgewertet und prämiert.

SauerlandAir e.V. invites you to the NRW-CUP 2026. With Edition 3.0, we're counting on fantastic weather conditions this time. No training day! :-) This year, the club is once again looking forward to welcoming all ambitious XC pilots, competition professionals, and newcomers to the Sauerland region. Together, we'll take advantage of the spring thermals in the Sauerland and, after a hot waffle at the launch site, kick off the German competition season. Afterwards, we'll end the evenings at the famous HQ/Campground in Elpe with a glass of VELTINS by the fire.
The NRW State Championship is once again embedded in an international FAI 2 competition and will take place for the third time at our top-notch launch sites. The large launch areas allow for a field of 100 pilots.
This year, the organizers of the NRW-CUP and the MOSEL-TROPHY have coordinated their schedules once again. To avoid double travel to central Germany, the dates of both competitions have been closely aligned. Due to the favorable timing of the holidays, both competitions can be flown with just a few vacation days. Both events will contribute to the "2nd German Midlands Cup," which will also be awarded as an overall ranking based on both competitions.
IMPORTANT: This competition, along with the Mosel Trophy, is part of the "2nd German Midlands Cup." Both competitions share a common alternate date (5.6. May 2026), which, depending on weather conditions and at the organizers' discretion, will be used for either the Mosel Trophy or the NRW Cup.
The plan is to guarantee every pilot who qualifies for participation in the Sauerland event a place at the Mosel Trophy as well. The results of the2nd German Midlands Cup will be evaluated and awarded prizes at the end of the 3rd NRW Cup.
