Event info

Welcome to the second edition of polish sport class paragliders only competition (max EN C).

This event is meant to be a training competition for young polish pilots, but open to other nations too. Event aim to be sanctioned as FAI cat. 2 level.

Organizers provides high level of sportivness, friendly learning atmosphere and task setup to latests standards, so participants have chance to fly, learn and understand them.

As the main goal of this competition is learn and progress D-briefings after each task will be provided. After D-briefings there will be lectures and open discussions with top pilots and more. Both held in English and Polish.

Your coaches are expierienced National Team pilots and trainers. Come and join us to progress!!!

Pieve d'Alpago

Pieve d'Alpago is a small town in the province of Belluno in Italian region of Veneto, located about 80 km North of Venice and about 11 km NE of Belluno.

It has hosted many international events in the past inclouding Polish Championships, Italian Championship, Regional Leagues and so on.

There is big variety of task setting opportunities. Genneraly it is mountain flying, but some excursions in to the flats are possible.

The task my be set in to the east and in to the west up to Feltre. The Valley of Belluno-Feltre has almost no valley wind (specifics of flying site will be presented and Saefty briefing and at each task briefing). You will find all tipe of mountains here - from rocky steep faces to nice gracy slopes. Just perfect to learn how to flt fast in the mountains. In the valleys you will find lots of meadows to land - if you miss a climb - still we hope to see your smiling face in goal each day!

Best off all are the the views. To the north you will see the magnificent Dolomites. Just breathtaking!!!

For more place to spread you glider and pice in rder to take off at your time, we advice you a few meter walk up to sekond bigger meadow. You can use it during competition to.

Selection and entry fee

Competition is open to all pilots flying under maximum EN C paraglider.

All Pilots must hold the following:
- A minimum of IPPI4 (or equivalent national licence),
- GPS which records a 3D track log,
- Medical insurance (including rescue and repatriation),
- Third party liability insurance.
All the above will be checked at registration

FAI Licence isn't compulsory, but we strongly advise you to have one.

The general rule is who pays first get the place first.

Rest of entry fee will be charged at the registration in Pieve d'Alpago.

In case of resignation before 21th of May 2019, your place reservation fee will be refunded minus bank fees. After this date whole reservation fee will be kept.

- transport and retrieval on task days,
- color map,

- competition shirt,
- access to all parties,
- live tracking,
- and all other organization costs.

Accommodation and Activities

Accomodation: - Next to HQ organizer provides camping with showers (hot water) at extra cost of 5 Euro/perspon/night
- In Pieve d'Alpago and surrounding there are many B&B accomodation and other rentals. You will find a list of some in "files to download" section.

Other activities: - Hiking and climbing: Pieve d'Alpago is surrounded by the beautiful Dolomiti Beluneze. It provides many hiking trails and many climbing routes.
- Kitesurfing: Lago di Santa Croce is located south of Pieve d'Alpago. Due to the unique aerology, good kitesurfing conditions are expected in the afternoon.
- Culture: admire the beautiful historical cities along the valley and plains towards Venice.
- Prosecco: Valdobiadene is capital of prosecco.

How to get here

By plane: Closest airports are Treviso and Venice Marco Polo International Airport.

By Train: The nearest train station to Pieve D'alpago is Ponte nelle Alpi. Main rail road stations to get there are Venezia and Mestre.

There are a lot of rent a car services in Marco Polo International Airport and on Piazzale Roma in Venezia. All major brands like Hetz, Europcar, Sixt etc can be found there.

The location of HQ is precisly pinet at right place so just drive there from whethever you are.
